Wishy-Washy Worship

>> Thursday, May 13, 2010

Some of my best "worship moments" come in the bathtub.
I would call them "wishy-washy," except that there's nothing wishy-washy about them.
Last night I scrubbed and sang. I soaked and sang some more.
There were no kids calling my name, no technology beeps or blinks.
Just the sound of water. And me singing praises to my King.
I worshiped Jesus undistracted.

Thank You, Lord, for a few moments to be alone and quiet with you.
Thank You for the luxury of clean, hot water and a bathtub to fill.
Thank You, above all, for still moments, whenever and however they come.
Thank You, my Jesus, for never being wishy-washy with me.
